Mellieha Local Council Day

Mellieħa News

The Mellieha Local Council is organising a the annual honour presentation evening at the Mellieha school hall on the 27th of Febuary 2009. This year will be marked by an original musical depicting the history of Mellieha. While the programme is by invitation because of limited seating, another presentation of the musical shall be performed on the 1st of March for the general puplic at 8.00pm.

Vocal Concert of Sacred Music

The Choral and Orchestral Society Maria Bambina presents a v Vocal Concert of Sacred Music with the particapation of soprano Rosabelle Bianchi , the Vocal Ensemble and Violin Solo  on Sunday 30th of November 2008, in the Mellieha Parish Church at 18.30hrs.

Craft Exhibition

The Ladies Craft Circle of Mellieha is to organise a craft exhibition consisting of tapistries, ganutell, hairpin crohet, cutwork, beading and others. The Exhibition is to be held at the Mellieha santuary courtyard on Saturday 18th of October from 9.00am to 7.30pm and Sunday 19th of October from 9.00am and 6.30pm. Every one is welcome to attend.

Mellieha Nights

The Mellieha Local Council is to organise three nights starting on the 12th to the 14th of September which will involve kulture, art, walks, music, exhibitions and more.  The parish Church and Santuary will be open in the evenings together with the World war Shelters. Local bands and choirs, entertainers, a German band from Melliehas twin town, Adenau and a delegation from Melliehas other  twin to town Cavriglia, Italy.

Outside Festa Music Programmes

The Choral and Orchestral Society Maria Bambina will organise a varied programme in the parish square at 8.00 pm on the 1st of September. On the 2nd of September sees the Imperial Band Club perform in the same square starting at 8.00pm. The La Vittoria youth band will entertain on the 3rd of September in the square starting at 8.00pm and the La Vittoria Band on the 4th starting at 7.45pm. Everyone is welcome to attend all of these prpgrammes.
